Porsche North America – Occupant Classification may Turn Off Air Bag

Porsche Cars North America (Porsche) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Taycan vehicles. An occupant classification system error may deactivate the front passenger air bag.

Consequence Summary An air bag that fails to deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.
Corrective Action Dealers will replace the front passenger seat cushion, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 6, 2025. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ASA2.
