Volkswagen Group of America – Insufficient Sealant on High-Voltage Battery

Volkswagen Group of America (Audi) is recalling certain 2023 Audi RS E-Tron GT and E-Tron GT vehicles. The high-voltage battery may have an insufficient amount of sealant, which can allow liquid to accumulate in the battery.

Consequence Summary Liquid accumulation in the high voltage battery can cause electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action Dealers will test the battery for leakage and replace the battery as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 31, 2023. Owners may contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 93T7.
