NISSAN DIESEL IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 1999-2010 UD3300 VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, “AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS.” THE BRAKE ACTUATION AND RELEASE TIMING OF THE AIR BRAKE SYSTEM ON THESE VEHICLES MAY NOT PERFORM CORRECTLY.

Corrective Action | THE AIR BRAKE LINE WILL BE MODIFIED. DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPAIR VEHICLES AT NO CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL FOR OWNERS OF 2008 THROUGH 2010 UD3300 VEHICLES BEGAN ON AUGUST 20, 2010. NOTIFICATION TO OWNERS OF THE 1999 THROUGH 2007 UD3300 VEHICLES IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN AT THE END OF JANUARY 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN DIESEL AT 1-972-756-5500. |
