Terex South Dakota – Turntable Securing Bolts may Fail

Terex South Dakota (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Aerial Devices and General Digger Derricks manufactured March 28, 2014, to March 1, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the fasteners that attach the turntable bearing to the carrier and the aerial or the digger derrick may fail.

Consequence Summary If the attaching bolts fail, the boom may fall, increasing the risk of injury to the operator or those nearby.
Corrective Action Terex will notify owners, and dealers will check the affected bolts, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall begin on March 27, 2015. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-982-8975. Terex's number for this recall is SN616.
