Terex Advance Mixer – King Pin Fracture may cause Wheel End Separation

Terex Advance Mixer (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Front Discharge Mixers manufactured July 1, 2016, to September 30, 2016, equipped with certain Meritor front drive steer axles. These front axles have a king-pin that may fracture and possibly result in wheel end separation.

Consequence Summary If the wheel end separates, a loss of vehicle control may result, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action Terex will notify owners, and dealers will replace all of the affected lower king-pins, free of charge. The recall began on January 5, 2017. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-678-5961.
