THIS STEERING GEAR CAN FAIL FROM FATIGUE CAUSED BY HIGH TWISTING FORCES THAT CAN OCCUR IN CERTAIN SEVERE DAILY USE SUCH AS TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL UP AGAINST THE AXLE STOPS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT ON DRY PAVEMENT.

Consequence Summary THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN BROKEN PITMAN SHAFTS INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE ACCIDENT FROM A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.
Corrective Action DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE AFFECTED STEERING GEARS WITH A NEW STEERING GEAR (SAGINAW PART NO. 26035369/OSHKOSH PART NO. 4SK351).
