Oshkosh Corporation – Steering Gear Assembled Incorrectly

Oshkosh Corporation (Oshkosh) is recalling certain Shepphard Steering Gears, with part number 3875726, sold as replacement parts for certain S-Series vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.

Consequence Summary A fractured steering gear shaft can cause a loss of steering controleasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action Oshkosh will work with the supplier, R.H. Sheppard, to inspect and replace the steering gears as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 21, 2024. Owners may contact Oshkosh's customer service at 1-888-686-7278.
