Mercedes-Benz USA – Incorrect Refrigerant in HVAC System

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022-2023 AMG G 63 and 2023 G 550 vehicles. The air-conditioning system may not have been filled with the correct refrigerant.

Consequence Summary In the event of a crash, the incorrect refrigerant may leak and increase the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action Dealers will replace the air-conditioning refrigerant, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 30, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024MMNNNN.
