Mercedes-Benz USA – Inaccurate Vehicle Location for Emergency Services

Mercedes-Benz USA. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 AMG GT vehicles. The emergency call system (eCall) communication module may be missing the wiring harness ground line, which may cause the system to relay an inaccurate vehicle location, and restrict the ability to communicate verbally with the call center.

Consequence Summary An inaccurate vehicle location or the inability to communicate with the call center may delay emergency responders, increasing the risk of injury in the event of an emergency.
Corrective Action MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will repair the wiring harness of the communication module, free of charge. The recall began July 2, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2020060010.
