Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022 EQB 300 and EQB 350 vehicles. The welded spur gear within the front axle electric drivetrain may not have been welded properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 114, “Theft Protection.”

Corrective Action | Dealers will replace the front axle electric drivetrain, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed June 28, 2024.
