Mercedes-Benz USA – Front Left Seatbelt Improperly Installed

Mercedes-Benz USA. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 E450 Coupe vehicles. The front left seatbelt may be improperly installed, potentially allowing the seatbelt to contact sharp metal components and damage the seatbelt webbing.

Consequence Summary A damaged seatbelt may not properly restrain an occupant, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Corrective Action MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and reroute the front left seatbelt as necessary, or replace it if the webbing is damaged, free of charge. The recall began May 22,2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2020050001.
