Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2019 AMG GT53 and AMG GT63 vehicles. In certain types of crash events, the center console may unlatch, allowing the storage compartment to open. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 201, “Occupant Protection in Interior Impact.”
