Lion Electric Company (Lion Electric) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Lion C and Lion 360 school buses equipped with wheelchair lifts. The shoulder belt and ground anchors intended to hold a wheelchair in place may detach in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 222, “School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection.”
