Jaguar Land Rover North America – Rearview Camera Image May Not Display/FMVSS 111

Jaguar Land Rover North America (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2019 Jaguar XE vehicles. Due to wiring damage in the trunk, the rearview camera image may not appear on the display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, “Rear Visibility.”

Consequence Summary A rearview camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action Dealers will inspect and repair the rearview camera wiring harness, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 15, 2023. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H445.
