Gillig – Inconsistent Output from Hydraulic Steering Pump

Gillig LLC (Gillig) is recalling certain S26 Eaton-brand hydraulic pumps manufactured January 1, 2011, to November 1, 2014 that were sold through Gillig’s aftermarket parts department. The affected hydraulic pumps may have manufacturing inconsistencies with the spool assembly which may result in unexpected changes in the steering effort.

Consequence Summary Unexpected changes in steering effort may cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Corrective Action Gillig will notify owners and will replace the pump, free of charge. The recall began on March 4, 2015. Owners may contact Gillig customer service at 1-800-735-1500.
