Ford Motor Company – Loose Subframe Bolts

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. The front subframe bolts may not have been tightened properly during assembly, which could result in loose bolts.

Consequence Summary Loose subframe bolts may reduce the vehicle's performance in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective Action Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front subframe bolts and tighten them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began April 2, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21S09.
