ELGIN IS RECALLING 49 MY 2007-2008 WHIRLWIND STREET SWEEPERS WITH TIER III JOHN DEERE AUXILIARY ENGINES. THE AUXILIARY ENGINE RADIATOR FAN IS MOUNTED TO THE CRANKSHAFT OF THE ENGINE. UNDER HEAVY OPERATING CONDITIONS AND HIGH AUXILIARY ENGINE SPEEDS, THE RADIATOR FAN BLADES CAN SEPARATE FROM THE FAN HUB. IF THIS CONDITION OCCURS, FAN BLADES OR DEBRIS FROM THE FAILED FAN BLADES CAN LEAVE THE FAN HOUSING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE SWEEPER.
