Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain model year 2014 1199 Panigale S version, 1199 Superleggera and 1199 Panigale R version motorcycles. The affected motorcycles may have been built with an improperly manufactured rear shock absorber. The nut on the damper rod for these shock absorbers may loosen, resulting in a loss of damping and the possible disassembling of the shock.

Corrective Action | Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will either replace the rear shock assembly or send the shock to the supplier's repair center to be remedied, free of charge.
