Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2016 Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner C2 school buses manufactured May 1, 2015, to August 1, 2015. The affected buses are equipped with push-out tempered glass windows that may not remain attached to the bus in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 217, “Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release.”
