Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) fault codes will not be stored when the vehicle is keyed off for more than 5 seconds, impairing its diagnostic features and warning light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, “Air Brake Systems.”

Corrective Action | The remedy is currently under development. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed on August 18, 2022.
