Continental Automotive Systems (Continental Automotive) is recalling certain Hydraulic Electronic MKC1 brake units, with part numbers 10-1202 and 25-1202. A deviation in the welding process can cause the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) rotor and shaft to separate, which may cause a reduction of braking assist, and a loss of ABS.
