Chrysler (FCA US) – Obstructed Tail Lights/FMVSS 108

Chrysler (FCA US) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with incorrect tail lights that may be obstructed by the spare tire. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

Consequence Summary Obstructed tail lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other driverseasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action Dealers will replace the tail lights, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 29, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 90B.
