Chrysler (FCA US) – Inoperative TPMS Sensor/FMVSS 138
Report Received Date | 07/14/2022 |
NHTSA ID | 22E057000 |
Consequence Summary | Inoperative TPMS sensors will not alert the driver to low tire pressure. In addition, a TPMS warning light that is already illuminated from a failed battery sensor will mask an actual tire pressure failure issue. Either of these scenarios can result in tire failure and increase the risk of a crash. |
Corrective Action | Dealers will inspect and replace the affected TPMS sensors, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 2, 2022. Owners may contact FCA US at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US's number for this recall is Z69. |
