Chrysler (FCA US) – Improperly Tightened Seat Belt Bolt/FMVSS 210

Chrysler (FCA US) is recalling certain 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A bolt for the second-row seat belt buckle may not be tightened properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”

Consequence Summary An improperly secured seat belt buckle may not properly restrain occupants during a crasheasing the risk of injury.
Corrective Action Dealers will inspect and tighten the second-row seat buckle bolt as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expecting to be mailed August 2, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US's number for this recall is 70B.
