Chrysler (FCA US) – Disabled Electronic Stability Control/FMVSS 126

Chrysler (FCA US) is recalling certain MOPAR anti-lock braking system (ABS) control modules, used as replacement parts in certain 2022 Dodge Durango and Ram 2500 and 3500 vehicles. Due to a software malfunction, the ABS control module may disable the electronic stability control system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, “Electronic Stability Control Systems.”

Consequence Summary Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action Dealers will update the software for or repurchase the ABS control module, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expecting to be mailed July 26, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US's number for this recall is 56B.
