BMW of North America – Improperly Welded Front Seat

BMW of North America (BMW) is recalling certain 2023 740i, 760i xDrive, and i7 xDrive60 vehicles. The front seat length adjustment system may not have been welded properly.

Consequence Summary An improperly welded front seat may not properly restrain an occupant, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Action Dealers will inspect the front seats and if necessary, replace the seat front structure including the seat length adjustment system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2023. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
