Kumho Tire U.S.A. – Intentionally Punctured Tires may have been Resold

Kumho Tire U.S.A. (Kumho) is recalling certain Kumho Solus KH25 passenger car tires, size 225/45R17, produced in the weeks of 3411 through 2512 (August 21, 2011 through June 23, 2012). All tires associated with this recall relate to Kumho Tire U.S.A.?s initial recall for these tires covered by NHTSA recall 12T-020. The affected tires were rendered unusable by being punctured with 3 drill holes through the tread surface and sent to Liberty Tire Recycling (Liberty) for disposal. Instead, Liberty sold to these tires as ?used tires? to various tire wholesaler/distributors in Texas, New York, North Carolina and Puerto Rico.
