Reinke Manufacturing Company – ALUMINUM TOOLBOX BRACKET BREAKS

CERTAIN REINKE ALUMINUM TOOLBOX BRACKETS, P/NOS. 223021 AND 223022, SOLD AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FOR USE ON REINKE TRAILERS. DURING MANUFACTURE, THE BEND RADIUS OF THE BRACKETS WAS TOO SMALL RESULTING IN BRACKETS WITH GREATLY REDUCED FATIGUE LIFE. SMALL CRACKS MAY DEVELOP ALONG THE BEND RADIUS LINES OF THE BRACKETS IF INSTALLED AS PART OF THE TOOLBOX MOUNTING SYSTEM. THE CRACKS MAY FURTHER DEVELOP AND THE BRACKETS MAY BREAK CAUSING THE TOOLBOX TO SEPARATE FROM THE TRAILER.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
