THE STEERING COLUMN FLOOR SEAL FORMS A WELL AROUND THE COLUMN AT THE FLOOR. DEBRIS, SUCH AS LOOSE FASTENERS, MAY GET TRAPPED IN THE SEAL WELL, POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE STEERING TO BIND.
