Dennis Eagle – Vehicle Controls May Switch Sides/FMVSS 101/121

Dennis Eagle (Dennis Eagle) is recalling one 2017 Diego vehicle. If the changeover switch fails while the vehicle is being driven from the right-hand side (RHS), the instrument cluster and throttle controls may switch to the left-hand side (LHS). In addition, if a passenger presses the brake pedal, the Electronic Braking System (EBS) will be disabled and the brake lights may not illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, “Controls and Displays” and 121, “Air Brake Systems.”

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
