Britax Child Safety – BRITAX/FMVSS 213/TETHER BRACKET SEPARATION

EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: ADVANTAGE CONVERTIBLE CHILD RESTRAINTS, MODEL E9022, WITH PRODUCTION DATES FROM MARCH 5 TO JULY 26, 2001. THE TETHER BRACKETS USED DURING THE AFFECTED PERIOD MAY ALLOW ONE OF THE TETHER ATTACHMENTS TO SEPARATE FROM THE SEAT SHELL IN A VEHICLE CRASH. SEPARATION OF ONE OF THE TETHER BRACKETS FROM THE SEAT SHELL COULD CAUSE INCREASED HEAD EXCURSION. THESE SEATS DO NOT COMPLY WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 213, “CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS.”
